Welcome Mikaela, our new team member in Southern Finland!

We are excited to welcome Mikaela as the newest member of the Project Liv team. Mikaela will be working to establish Project Liv in Southern Finland, with a focus on Uusimaa, and she looks forward to making a difference for families with long-term ill children.

Mikaela, originally from Porvoo, is a mother of three and has over 20 years of experience as a class teacher. She is passionate about her mission and shares:

"It feels amazing to be part of an organization that does so much to 'bring back lost smiles,' fulfill dreams, and create bright moments in the daily lives of families with long-term ill children. I am excited to spread Project Liv's vision to Southern Finland and to continue the great work that has already been so well established in Ostrobothnia. Together, I want to contribute to filling hospitals here with even more color and joy."

Mikaela is also looking forward to engaging more people in the work and has a special invitation for everyone who wants to contribute to the cause in the region:

"Do you have an idea or vision that Project Liv could help bring to life here in Uusimaa? Don’t hesitate to get in touch! I would love to hear from you, and together we can make a big difference. The threshold is low – email me at [email protected]."

Mikaela also wants to encourage anyone who wants to get involved to join Project Liv Anchors in Uusimaa. Our first meeting will take place in September, but you can start getting involved now by joining our Facebook group for Anchors. For more information, email Mikaela!

We are excited to continue spreading joy, hope, and support to the families we work with in Southern Finland, alongside Mikaela. A warm welcome to the team, Mikaela!
